Steve's interested in Jonathan so he takes photography at school only to learn Jonathan is in the advanced class, not his beginner's class. Steve joins photography club that Jonathan's in too, but learns he doesn't always come along because of conflicts with his job so it takes a lot of effort to interact with Jonathan but Steve's onboard with it since he's no quitter. Steve trying to impress Jonathan with his photos and Jonathan trying to be diplomatic about any faults/encouraging. Steve asking Jonathan to be a model for him and Jonathan being flustered but not disagreeing with that.
