Steve travels back in time to pre-s3 (dealer's choice how far back, exactly) and as far as Eddie is concerned, has become weirdly obsessed with him overnight, suddenly wanting to be friends. He's acting differently, no longer interested in chasing girls- *oh*, there's an obvious explanation in Eddie's head. Steve's clearly just realised that he's gay, has heard rumours that Eddie is gay, and wants to be shown the ropes.
