I'd like Eddie to be surprised, a bit concerned, a bit amused, but mostly finding it adorable his baby will do anything for him. And he'd never cheat on Steve or leave him, but yeah, Billy Hargrove is fucking hot, Eddie isn't blind. So maybe they go through it, with Steve fucking Eddie as 'Billy'. Maybe it culminates in Steve being seriously wounded, near-fatally even, because be wouldn’t hurt Dustin, and he spends what he thinks are his last moments trying to comfort Dustin and telling him it wasn’t his fault.

Would prefer if Steve lives and would adore seeing Dustin’s pov trapped in his body forced to watch himself hurt someone he cares about so deeply, maybe a scene where he’s freed from the Mindflayer’s influence and cradles Steve while sobbing apologies and hyperventilating. Maybe they talk things out later and Dustin goes off on him for not defending himself and ends up sobbing into his arms.

Steve's rich, privileged, people assume certain things about him, treat him a certain way because of that. Eddie's poor and has little financial/societal privilege, resources, people assume certain things, treat him a certain way because of it...

Happy for there to be some angst, maybe Eddie being jealous or projecting at Steve. Yes, Steve has financial privilege, but he's also vulnerable/fucked up in other ways (PTSD(?), parental neglect/abandonment, etc). Eddie being self-deprecating, assuming Steve judges him, his clothes, the trailer, and so on. Eddie getting pissed/feeling insecure because Steve always pays for their dates (or their activities together, if gen, cinema trips with the kids, pizza for movie night, etc).

I'm leaving it vague and open so Filler can include their own ideas but essentially: Steve is a rich boy, Eddie's a poor boy. They're best friends or lovers/boyfriends. Let's explore that.

He's able to detect where extra tears will form and when Demigorgans are hunting. He somehow makes sense of how Hawkins is being warped and leads his friends safely through danger. For once he's at the center of their journey, and not because he's being hurt or because they feel sorry for him.
