Best friends who have been sleeping together for years but it "doesn't count" because they're best friends. They have other relationships that do "count" but they never stop having sex. Best friend options include: byler, stobin, elmax, Nancy/barb. Preferably with the characters as adults, so post-canon or an AU.

I think I've read every female Steve fic with Stoncy, Stancy, Steddie or Stobin, the only ones left are for my NOTP, and I won't read those, not even for my favorite AU😅
If am I wrong about my Stevie senses, forgive me, but I know you've said you have a special interest for writing genderbending before, so I can't help but be a bit excited.

Unless OP prefers it to be genderbent, my preference and intention is for Steve to still be a guy. It hadn't even occurred to me to be another way. Pm everyone in my worlds are bisexual, so... yeah. XP You're right tho, I do LOVE genderbending, and I love femSteve, but I've been enjoying writing Stobin as a bi pair with both genders remaining canon.

OP here. Love your work!! I was intending it to remain canon genders, although I do always love a good gender bend. Also mostly canon sexualities, with Robin still identifying as a lesbian even with having sex with Steve. I sort of find the choice in identifying a certain way but attraction happening anyway a fun murky area to explore. Looking forward to how you tackle this prompt!

I feel very similar. I only see Robin wanting to be involved with exactly one guy, so I'm right there with you, that side of her is just into Steve for the ungodly reason that he is Steve. I'll def be keeping them unchanged. ^^
